Question by Robyn: How much would getting a scuba diving certificate in batangas cost all in all? (diving fee, equip/gear etc..)?
How do i get started in scuba diving?
I’m planning on learning to scuba dive but have no idea how much it would cost.
All the details i can get would really help.

Looks like Scubaworld and Portulano are the closest dive centers to Batangas. I’ll paste both websites below.

Scubaworld is a five star dive center which means they’ve been in business for some time and have passed certain quality standards.
Unfortunately, neither site gives pricing. You probably need to email them for rates. Ask about a group class (usually cheaper).

Generally speaking, open water certification costs between $ 300 – $ 500 including everything. As you mentioned in your question there’s often a gear rental fee, tuition, books and dives. So, in your email to the dive center I’d word it just like you did here.

Something I’d recommend: try to get your classroom stuff done before you go. I did my certification in Mexico and I spent about six hours in a classroom reading a book and doing tests. It was lame. You can get all of this out of the way before you leave for your trip. Talk to your local dive center or do one of the online study programs (www.padi.com/elearning).

I am going to go Scuba Diving for my first time, and I’m going to the Great Barrier Reef. How much does it cost to get PADI certified? How long does it take? Do I need to buy equipment for training? And while diving in the reef can I wear a wet suit that only goes down to my knees and elbows? Thanks

Around the Chicago area the certification costs:

Pool and Class = $ 200 to $ 400 based on weeknight group class or private lessons.

Certification Dives = $ 200 (group) to $ 400 (private) plus tips, entrance fee, tank fills, food, etc.

Gear for Class = You’ll need to buy a mask, fins, boots, and snorkle for the class. These can run $ 300 to $ 800 (or more) depending on what you want.

The weeknight pool & classroom group class takes 5 weeknights. There is also a Sat/Sun class that takes about 10 hours each day. Private lessons are based on your schedule with the instructor.

For the certification dives, it will be two days. We typically do it on a Saturday and Sunday.

Whether or not you need a wetsuit is completely a personal choice. I use my 3mm fullsuit (with full length arms and legs) in water temperature up to 85F. I will wear a shortie if the temperature is about 85F. If you wear too much of a wetsuit, you can always let water in to help cool off; however, there is no warming up while underwater if you have too little of a wetsuit.

Id like to start scuba diving and want to know the average money id have to pay to do so.

I understand that there are different rates in different stores but a general idea could help get me started.

Also any additional advice for beginners is greatly appreciated

I would like to know the average prices and the name of the minimum required equipment to skydive after getting the license.
Im far away from rich but im guessing skydiving aint something you can be cheap at.

Between 2 and 4 thousand dollars. That’s why most people rent.
